Lois Newsom, 85, of Ooltewah, passed away on Friday, December 29, 2017.
Mrs. Newsom was born and raised in Orlinda, Tn. After graduating from Baptist Hospital Nursing School in Nashville, she moved to California, where she lived most of her life.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Newsom; and parents, Delsie and A.B. Johnson.
Surviving are her children, Ruth (Steve) Grant, Lynn (Michael) Purkey and Chris (Christian) Newsom; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Marie Walker, Dixie Clark, and Hugh (Dorothy) Johnson.
Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 13, at the funeral home.
A memorial service will follow at 3 p.m. at the funeral home with Reverend Bill Mason officiating.
