"God Will Help" Is Sermon Topic On Middle Valley Church Of God On Sunday

Middle Valley Church of God, at 1703 Thrasher Pike in Hixson, announced that Pastor Mitch McClure will speak on the topic, "God Will Help" in the 10:30 a.m. service on Sunday. This sermon is part of a series on depression and Christians. Pastor Mitch McClure said, "The cares of life are difficult.  We are all subject to them.  No one is exempt.  At times we all get down or get the blues or feel sad.  Christians must know that God is interested in helping them work through the difficult times of life."

Pastor Mitch McClure will lead the congregation in a time of worship, communion, and prayer on Sunday, Oct.
14, at 6:30 p.m. Each Sunday at 9:30 a.m. Sunday school classes are available for all age groups.


Presently Senior Adult Pastor Craig Paul is leading an interactive Bible study based on Wednesday evenings at 7 p.m. in the administrative classroom.

Middle Valley Church of God has been involved in community from the same location since 1946 and continues to partner with many local organizations. The church is also involved in multiple ministries in Cusuna, Honduras with orphans and widows.  

All services are open to the public and everyone is welcome to participate.

County Commission Votes 5-4 Against 34-Cent Property Tax Increase For The Schools

The County Commission voted 5-4 on Wednesday morning against a 34-cent property tax increase for the county schools.
