Ivy Academy Hosts Public Meeting Of TennCan, The Tennessee Bottle Bill Project

A meeting about an upcoming bill setting a five-cent refundable deposit on beverage containers, with returns to redemption centers, will be held at Ivy Academy, 8520 Dayton Pike, Soddy Daisy.

It will be next Tuesday from 6:30-7:30 p.m.

Those invited to the public meeting include all Hamilton County residents running for state office.

Officials said the aim is to understand the TennCan legislative proposal that will be introduced to the 2019 state of Tennessee Legislative Session.
