Chattanooga Police said an anonymous witness helped them make an arrest of the driver involved in a hit and run accident that occurred on Wednesday at 2100 Milne St. A three-year-old boy was hit by the vehicle.

Jeffrey Lebron Robinson, 57, of 735 E. 10th St., is charged with leaving the scene of a crash with injuries, failure to render aid, failure to report a crash, and driving on revoked license for DUI.

The child's grandmother said she parked her car on Milne Street. She said she was getting some items out of the back when the child got out and walked around on the sidewalk side. She said a car then came on the wrong side of the road and struck the child.

The boy suffered serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

The grandmother said she yelled at the driver to stop. She said he slowed down, then sped off. Other witnesses said they also tried to stop him.

Police contacted Robinson, who denied that his vehicle had left his spot at the 10th Street address. However, police found video that showed the vehicle pull in 15 minutes after the time of the wreck and also showed Robinson walking along a sidewalk after getting out of the vehicle.

Police said Robinson has a revoked license for DUI.
