Donald Bridgeman
Donald G. “Corky” Bridgeman , 82, of Chattanooga, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 15, 2018, surrounded by his family.
A lifelong resident of Chattanooga, Don was formerly co-owner of Airlube Inc. and also formerly worked for Whitfield Oil Co. for several years. He was a veteran of the US Air Force. Don was a member of East Chattanooga Church of God since 1966 and had served as a Sunday School teacher, a member of the Pastor’s Council, Christian Education Board, usher, church softball team and several other church activities.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ellis and Alberta Bridgman and his brother, Michael Bridgman.
Survivors are his wife of 55 years, Nancy Bridgeman; daughter, Kimberly (Philip) Shepherd, Hixson; son, Matthew Bridgeman, Chattanooga; two grandchildren, Jacob (Meghan) Shepherd and Sydney Shepherd, Hixson; two brothers, Terry (Marie) Bridgman, Chattanooga, Richard (Judi) Bridgman, Hixson; sister-in-law, Lynda Bridgman, Chattanooga.
Services will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 19, at 1 p.m. in the chapel with Reverend Don Stovall and Reverend Travis Ballinger officiating. Burial will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens, East with Philip Shepherd, Jacob Shepherd, Eddie McGee, Shawn Whitfield, Fred Kelley and Mike Bridgman serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, Dec. 20, from 4-8 p.m. and Wednesday from 12 -1 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, 7454 E. Brainerd Road.
