Sandra “Cain” Pitts, 71, of Ringgold, passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2018. She loved doing yard work and front porch visits with her family. Sandra had a caring heart and selflessly gave over 25 years to her family as a caregiver. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, who will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, of 35 years, Jerry Pitts; parents, Billy and Georgia Cain; step mother, Madeline Cain; and son, Gerald Franklin Pitts.
She is survived by her daughters, Katrina (Marty) Heatherly and Melina (Daniel, Jr.) Bender; son, Michael (Susan) Pitts; sisters, Barbara Davis, Brenda (Ray) Elliott and Debbie (Marvin “Stump”) Martin; brother, Jimmy (Brenda) Cain; step-sisters, Maudina Crumley and Debbie (Donald) Haddock; grandchildren, Van and Casey Heatherly, Brooklyn Lowery, Zachary Bender, Sawyer, Raegan, Braison and Makayla Pitts, Breanna Knight and Dakota Hunter; great-grandson, Marshal Heatherly; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 23 in the chapel, with Bro. Mark Smith and Bro. Tony Wells officiating. Burial will follow in Anderson Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3-8 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 22 and on Friday, prior to funeral service.
