Adkisson, Leonard Armand "Len" (Ringgold)

Leonard Armand “Len” Adkisson, 69, of Ringgold, went home to be with the Lord Monday, March 12, 2018. He was born in Cleveland, Oh. to the late Armand and Dorothy Reitman Adkisson. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a clinical engineer and a bio-medical technician  He retired from the Aramark Corporation, where he worked at Hamilton Medical Center in Dalton. He was a member of Duncan Park Baptist Church in East Ridge, where he had taught the third through fifth grade boys Sunday school class and enjoyed being an Awana Leader for over 13 years. He had also served as a Royal Brigade leader at his former church in Ohio. He enjoyed model trains, watching the History Channel and creating meals for his family - some good and some not so good.  But, what Len enjoyed the most was time spent with his wife, children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Brenda Hall Adkisson of Ringgold; daughter, Tracy (Gerald) Newbille of Rossville; son, Nathan Reece (Jennifer) Adkisson of Ringgold; sisters, Carol Webb of San Antonio, Tx., Lucy (Tom) Stamatinos of Naples, Fl.; grandchildren, Layla and Piper Newbille and Makayla Adkisson; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 1-8 p.m. and Friday morning before the funeral. Funeral services will be held at noon Friday, March 16 in the chapel, with Minister Bill Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Chattanooga Veterans National Cemetery.
