New Youth Fitness Concept Launching In June

  • Tuesday, April 24, 2018

Try Kidz is a new youth sports league focusing on keeping kids active through fun sports and games. The inaugural season will kickoff in June.

Kickball and basketball will be offered starting in June, a youth only triathlon in August and additional sports like wiffle ball and dodge ball slated for future seasons.

Games will be played once a week and a typical season will span over a 6-week period to include a postseason tournament for the top teams.

“The mission of Try Kidz is to create an outlet for ALL kids to TRY. We want to bring kids of all skill levels together in a fun, active setting,” said Andy Johnson, owner of Try Kidz.

“A traditional youth league may schedule several games a week, plus additional practices, which can cause both the kids and parents to burnout. Our goal is to provide a fun, organized outlet for kids to play while also respecting today’s very busy lifestyle,” Mr. Johnson said of Try Kidz’ league format.

In addition to youth sports, family activities will also be offered. Parents will be given a unique opportunity to join their kids in a variety of events.

“Brothers, sisters, parents, aunts, uncles, grandparents, guardians can all play together. We’ve organized fun family sporting events with our own family and friends and would love to provide the same opportunities to others,” said Mr. Johnson.

There are several sign-up options available including: individual, small group and full team.

Registration is currently underway and details about all upcoming events can be found at Try Kidz’ website www.trykidz.com.
