Clecker, Bruce Steven (Dalton)

Bruce Steven Cleckler, age 64, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at Erlanger Hospital.

He was born Sept. 9, 1953 in Dalton, a son of the late Walter C “Bub” and Clara Harold Cleckler. He was also preceded in death by his nephew, Timothy Aaron Manis.

He was a 1972 graduate of Dalton High School. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. 

He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Gerri Cleckler of Doe Run, Ga.; sisters, Phillis Cleckler of Dalton, Sandra Mayles of Las Vegas, Nv.; nieces, Crystal Cowan Rhodes of Bethlehem, Ga., Charissa Pritchett of Cartersville, Ga., and Heather Helm of Las Vages, Nv.   

A service to celebrate the life of Bruce Steven Cleckler will be held Sunday May 20, at 3 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel. Interment will follow in the West Hill Cemetery. American Legion Post 112 in charge of military rites.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1-3 p.m. on Sunday.
