James Miller, 62, Identified As Pedestrian Struck And Killed On Hixson Pike Saturday Night

James Miller, 62, has been identified as the pedestrian who was struck and killed on Saturday night on Hixson Pike.

Chattanooga Police Department responded at 10:05 p.m. to a pedestrian struck at 5400 Hixson Pike.
 
A Ford F150 driven by Francis Lamonica, 66, was traveling north in the fast lane. Mr. Miller was attempting to cross the roadway and was struck by the vehicle.
 
Mr.
Lamonica was unsure as to what had collided with the vehicle and stopped at the scene.
 
HCEMS responded and transported Mr. Miller to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
 
Chattanooga Police Department Traffic Division are actively investigating this incident. Chattanooga Police ask anyone with information regarding this incident to call 423-698-2525.
