Jimmy J. Luck, 70, of Soddy Daisy, died on Tuesday, August 14, 2018.

He served in the US Air Force 1967 -1974. He was in Operation Ranch Hand during his tour of Viet Nam (to the Ranch). He was very active in the D.A.V and the V.V.A local 942 where he was a lifetime member, secretary and was involved in the Honor Guard.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Allen J. and Erlene Luck, and brothers, Andy Luck and Alvin Luck. 

Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Sherry Luck; children, Anita J. (Ed) Luck-Derenick, Tony (Terri) Luck, Kevin (Shaune) Luck, Jimmy (Melissa Long) Luck and Robert Luck; brother, Jerry A. Luck; sister, Strawberry Luck; honorary son, Bob Coffelt. He was a very proud grandfather and great grandfather to his 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and numerous friends who were more like family.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 17, in the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Reverend Robert Cothran and Reverend Larry Mills officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens with military honors by the V.V.A. Local 942.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday.
