Bethune To Face Williams For East Ridge Mayor; Lambert Does Not Run

Former East Ridge councilman Jim Bethune will be facing current council member Brian Williams in the Nov. 4 election.

Mayor Brent Lambert did not seek a new term. He recently lost a race for a County Commission seat.

Former Councilman Denny Manning is among those running for a council post.

Others are incumbent Jacky Cagle, Mike Chauncey, Jeff Ezell, Bob Gilreath Jr., Robert Jones, Greg Shipley and Andrea "Aundie" Witt.

Pat Cassidy, the city's first court clerk, is running again.

She will face Doris Rogers and Wayne Thompson.

In Red Bank, former Commissioner Ruth Jeno is running against Jimmy Methis for an at-large seat.

Terry Pope is the only candidate for District 1.

Edward LeCompte is unopposed for District 3.

Soddy Daisy Commission candidates are Robert Cothran, Bill Layne and Rick Nunley.

Phil Garver and Ethan White are commission candidates in Collegedale.

Lakesite Commission candidates are Valerie Boddy, Ken Wilkerson and Michelle Wilson.

Ridgeside Commission contenders are Darian Collins, Kirk Walker and Drue Zaharis.
