"Don't Forget God" Is Sermon Topic At Middle Valley COG Sunday

  • Wednesday, August 22, 2018

Middle Valley Church of God, 1703 Thrasher Pike in Hixson, announces that Pastor Mitch McClure will speak on the topic, "Don't Forget God," in the 10:30 a.m. service this Sunday.  This sermon is part of a series entitled, "Learning How to Live," which is based on the book of Ecclesiastes.  "The writer, Solomon was considered the wisest man who ever lived.  Queen Sheba of Egypt declared his great knowledge.  Solomon gives us the perspective of living life with death in view," officials said.

Pastor McClure will lead the congregation in a time of worship and prayer on Sunday at 6:30 p.m. Each Sunday at 9:30 a.m., Sunday school classes are available for all age groups.

Pastor McClure is leading an interactive Bible study based on John McTernans' book, "As America Has Done To Israel."  This study will be held each Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the administrative classroom.  Pastor McClure said, "Israel was chosen by Jehovah God to be His people and He gave them specific promises.  They exist today because of His promised covenant.  Israel must be blessed if we are to be blessed.  This will be one of our most interesting and eye-opening studies.  We'd love to have many attend and participate."

"Middle Valley Church of God has been involved in community from the same location since 1946 and continues to partner with many local organizations.  The church also is involved in multiple ministries in Cusuna, Honduras with orphans and widows," officials said. All services are open to the public and everyone is welcome to participate."

For additional information, contact Pastor Mitch McClure at the church office at 423-843-1539.
