Virgil Lee Johnson, Jr., 82, of Rossville, passed away on Sunday September 16, 2018. He was a resident of the Rossville area for over 50 years. He was a member of the Redemption to the Nations Church in Chattanooga. 

He is preceded in death by his parents and several brothers and sisters.

Virgil is survived by his wife, Claudette Johnson; sons, Don (Stephanie) Johnson and Greg (Christy) Johnson; daughter,, Cheryl (Jeff) Fraley; brothers, Darvin Johnson and Billy Johnson; sister Geraldine Campbell; grandchildren, Donald (Emily) Johnson Jr., Ellaina Johnson, Morgan Johnson, Aaron (Teresa) Fraley, Evan Fraley, Alex Fraley, Lea (James) Hancock, Tanner Johnson and Alyssa Johnson; and great-grandchildren, Maverick and Mason Johnson, John Fraley, Makynna Guillot, Madisynn and Jameson Hancock and Zander Johnson.

Services will be held on Thursday, Sept. 20 at 1 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home. The family will receive friends from 2-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 18, all day Wednesday, Sept. 19 and until time of funeral on Thursday.

Entombment will follow at Calvary Gardens & Mausoleum.
