Kathy Greene
Kathy Cabrera Greene, 61, of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away on September 15, 2018.
She was born on April 28, 1957, to the late Herman and Ruby Cabrera. Kathy was a lifelong resident of this area and a 30-year employee of Peytons Southeastern, where she worked as a supervisor. She was also a veteran of the United States Army, where she served in Desert Storm. Kathy enjoyed country/western line dancing, teaching aerobics, and spending time at the beach. She loved all her family and friends and was one of the most compassionate people you will ever meet.
In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Paul Patterson; a niece she loved as a daughter, Christian Starr Cabrera and son-in-law, Adam Matthews.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband of 14 years, David Greene; daughter, Kayla Matthews; son Trey Lassiter; brothers James Cabrera (Betty), Jeff Cabrera (Louise), Jesse Cabrera (Pam), Billy Cabrera, Thomas Cabrera (Rhonda), Franklin Cabrera, and Eugene Cabrera (Opie); sister Berdie Patterson; grandchildren: Saydee Lassiter and Cody Duncan; special niece Amber Patterson. In addition to these, she leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 20, at Clingan Ridge Baptist Church at 2412 Georgetown Road NW, Cleveland, Tn. 37311.
A celebration of life service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 21, at Clingan Ridge with Travis Humbard and Gary Higgins officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens on Friday with full military honors.
