Harving, Orville

On Saturday, September 22, 2018, Orville Harding, 80, of Ooltewah, went to be with his Lord and Savior, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Orville was born on September 30, 1937 in Sissonville, W.V. and graduated from Sissonville High School. He moved to Chattanooga in 1969 and retired from the vending business after many years of service.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Geneva Harding; wife, Emily Huckabee Harding; brother, Averd Harding and sister, Josie Jones.

He is survived by his son, Steve Harding; daughter, Karen (Brad) Shane; step-son, Edward Huckabee; step-grandchildren, Rachel Huckabee, Jacob Huckabee, Parker Shane; sisters, Bertha Holley and Jean Smith as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 26, in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home, East Brainerd, with Pastor Grady Cooper officiating. Interment will follow in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.
