Medders, Ralph John

Ralph John Medders, 86, of Rossville, went home to be with his Lord on Saturday, September 22, 2018. He was born to the late Ursery and Laverine Medders, in Anniston Al., was a resident of Rossville for many years and was a member of St Gerard Catholic Church, Fort Oglethorpe.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Jean Medders; brother, Ronald Medders; and sister, Elizabeth Bacon.

Ralph is survived by his sons, Ronald Medders, Michael (Cheri) Medders and William Mahan; daughters, Debra Medders, Margaret (Denny) Campbell and Luz (Charles) Darr; siblings, Dot Cline and Shirley Shaddix; eight grandchildren; 10 greatgrandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, Sept. 28 at 10 a.m. in the chapel of the funeral home, with Jackie Swanson officiating. A funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday at St. Gerard Catholic Church. The family will receive friends from 5-9 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 27 and prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to Rosewood assisted living in memory of Ralph Medders, in care of Debra Medders, 14 Fort Town Dr, Fort Oglethorpe, GA 30742.
