Topic Is "What Direction Are You Going?" Sunday At Middle Valley COG

Wednesday, September 5, 2018
Middle Valley Church of God, 1703 Thrasher Pike in Hixson, announces that Pastor Mitch McClure will speak on the topic, "What Direction Are You Going?" in the 10:30 a.m. service on Sunday.

Pastor Mitch McClure will lead the congregation in a time of worship and prayer on Sunday at 6:30 p.m.

Each Sunday at 9:30 a.m. Sunday school classes are available for all age groups.

Pastor McClure is leading an interactive Bible study based on John McTernans' book, "As America Has Done To Israel."  This interactive Bible study will be held each Wednesday at 7 p.m.
in the Administrative classroom.  Pastor McClure said, "Israel was chosen by Jehovah God to be His people and He gave them specific promises.  They exist today because of His promised covenant.  Israel must be blessed if we are to be blessed.  This will be one of our most interesting and eye-opening studies.  We'd love to have many attend and participate."

Middle Valley Church of God has been involved in community from the same location since 1946 and continues to partner with many local organizations.  The church also is involved in multiple ministries in Cusuna, Honduras with orphans and widows.

All services are open to the public and everyone is welcome to participate.

For additional information, contact Pastor McClure at the church office at 423-843-1539.

As Commissioner Tim Boyd correctly stated, there is immediate and emergent need for police and fire training facilities. ... (click for more)

Roy Exum: The Lamar Rants

Being a child of the South, I’ve marveled at our funny sayings for all of my life. I’ve been at a football game and heard a disgruntled fan in the stands say of his team’s quarterback, “That boy couldn’t play dead in a cowboy movie.” I’ve been at the Sunday supper table and heard, “I’m of a mind each one of his sermons is better than the next.” And I’ve sat in a Saturday morning ...
