Home Damaged By Fire In Sale Creek

A homeowner called 911 on Friday night reporting a heavy smell of smoke in her house.

At 9 p.m., the Sale Creek VFD responded to 1827 Oak Cove Drive (Sale Creek area) and arrived on the scene reporting smoke pouring from the eaves at the front corner of the home. Firefighters entered the home to find heavy smoke and a small fire in the upstairs bonus room. They were able to contain the fire quickly and stop it from spreading throughout the house. The Soddy Daisy Fire Department responded to the fire scene with additional manpower. Fire officials reported significant smoke and heat damage to the upstairs bonus room.

The cause of the fire is undetermined and will be under investigation by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office.

No injuries were reported but Hamilton County EMS was on the scene for any potential injuries to firefighters on the scene.
