Louis Francis Jourdain, 97, of Dalton, Georgia, passed away on October 12, 2019 at his home.

An Army veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict, Lou was a brave and loyal soldier who proudly served his country. He later graduated from the University Of Michigan School of Dentistry and practiced for more than 40 years in Coral Gables, Fl. Upon retiring in 1991, he moved to his beloved home in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Burnsville, N.C. Lou continued following his passions as an award winning photographer, accomplished wood-craftsman and avid tennis player. In 2017, Lou and his wife of 65 years moved to Dalton, Ga. to be closer to their family.

Lou is the much loved husband of Corine Jourdain who he married in 1954; father of Jim Jourdain (Kathleen) of Boone, N.C. and Bill Jourdain (Lori) of Dalton, Ga.; grandfather of Tiffany, Jimmy, Ashley, Will and Emily Jourdain; wonderful brother, uncle and dear friend to many.

According to his wishes, there will be no service or memorial.

All who knew him will remember him as the caring, giving and wonderful man that he was.

For those interested in remembering Lou, please make a memorial gift to the charity of your choice.
