Bertha Ann "Bert" Scealf Lowe

Bertha Ann Scealf Lowe (Bert), born October 15, 1940, went home to be with the Lord on Oct. 18, 2019. She attended Hillcrest Baptist Church. She was married June 4, 1959.

 

She was a homemaker, military wife during the Cuban missile crisis, and a pastor's wife. She was a loving wife, mother, sister and daughter who will be missed dearly.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Robert Lowe, parents Grady and Pauline Scealf, and siblings Ruby Nichols, Agnes MCCarroll, and Thomas Scealf.

 

She is survived by two sons, Roy Lowe of Midland, Ga., Rob Lowe of Hixson, Tn., one daughter, Angela Lowe Colston of Harrison, Tn;, nine grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

 

Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 20, 2019 from 2-6 p.m. at Chattanooga Funeral Home, North Chapel.

 

A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 21, 2019 at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. James Langston officiating. A committal service will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

 

Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, TN 37343.
