The Cleveland State golf team completed play in the Berry College Invitational at Stonebridge Golf Club in Rome, Ga. on Tuesday afternoon.
Cleveland State placed 15th overall of 19 total teams in the field consisting of 101 golfers. Their
total two-day score was 635.
Wes Spillers led the way again for the Cougars, finishing tied for sixth and shooting a 160 with
individual round scores of 71 and 78. Spillers’ first round score of 71 set a new program record,
which he and Colbe Cagle previously shared.
Jared Thomas was the Cougars’ second place finisher on the team scorecard, posting a score
of 78 on a day one and finishing tied for 62nd with a final two-day score of 160.
Cleveland State will conclude their fall season at the Alice Lloyd Eagle Invitational at North Nob
Golf Course in Cohutta, Ga. Play will begin on Monday and conclude on Tuesday.
