The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga men’s tennis team opens the brand new UTC Tennis Center on Sunday, Feb. 24, at 2:00 p.m. (E.S.T.) against USC-Upstate. This match was originally scheduled for Saturday, but was pushed back a day due to weather.
Sunday's action is a doubleheader with the women's teams, who start their match at 10:00 a.m. The Mocs men’s team also hosts Carson-Newman later that evening at the Strang-Voges Tennis Center. First serve against the Eagles is set for 6:30 p.m.

Chattanooga has won three-straight to improve to 6-4 overall. Senior Pablo Llebeili has won seven in a row in singles, while freshman Kerim Hyatt is also riding a four-match winning streak. Junior Niklas Gerdes and freshman Tomas Rodriguez are 6-1 at No. 2 doubles.
The Spartans are 1-3 overall, with a 7-0 win over Belmont Abbey on Feb. 2. They also have a 7-0 loss to Furman on their schedule.
Upstate has taken the only two meetings in the series. They beat UTC 4-0 on Feb. 28, 2015, in Spartanburg, S.C., and won 6-1 on March 8, 2016, in Chattanooga.
The Eagles are 1-5 overall, with a (7-0) win over UVa-Wise on Feb. 10 on their resume. The Mocs have won the previous eight meetings in the series. The last time these two teams met was a 9-0 UTC win in 1981.
