House Fire Caused By Arson Displaces Family Of 4 Early Wednesday Morning

A home was damaged by fire early Wednesday morning. It was determined the fire was deliberately set.

Chattanooga firefighters responded sy 5:44 a.m. to the fire at 2107 Taylor Street. The first firefighters to arrive on the scene reported heavy smoke and fire on the backside of the house.

Battalion Chief Chris Warren said the firefighters worked quickly to get get the blaze under control in roughly 10 minutes. No one appeared to be home and no injuries were reported.

The fire displaced two adults and two children.
Volunteers with the American Red Cross were called in to provide assistance to the family.
 
Chief Warren said the loss was estimated at $60,000.
