Jimmie Hicks
Jimmie Shanton Lavar Hicks, 33, passed away on February 15, 2019.
He was born November 15, 1985 to Joyce E. Hicks in Chattanooga, TN. He was a former member of Olivet Baptist Church under Bishop Kevin Adams. He enjoyed making people laugh. He loved horror movies, music, traveling and going to the park. Everyone loved him and he made friends everywhere he went.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Elizabeth McGhee Hicks and his aunt, Lillie Mae McGhee.
He leaves to cherish his memories and love to his daughter, Sailor Hicks; mother, Joyce E. Hicks; grandmother, Joyce Hicks, granddad, Melvin Depree; siblings, LaToya Hicks, LaQuanda Franklin, Tonyada Meyweather, Tamara Daniels, Michael Daniels, Nefeteria Daniels, and DeMike Daniels, all of Chattanooga, TN; a host of other relatives and friends.
The body will lie in state from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 9, at John P. Franklin Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. in the chapel. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Gardens.
