Alhambra Shriners Deliver 2 Donations To Shriners Hospitals For Children

The Alhambra Shriners delivered two donations to Shriners Hospitals for Children in Lexington, Ky. The first donation was from the Alhambra Shriner Clowns, proceeds from the local community consisting of Tennessee, Georgia and Alabama. The Clowns collected donations on street corners and intersections in November-December plus made a donation from the clown unit, combining to total $46,300.

The Alhambra Potentate and Divan joined the members of the Clown Unit to present an additional donation of $100,000 from an anonymous donor to Shriners Hospitals as well. These donations were made at the monthly meeting of the Board of Governors meeting in Lexington on Monday.

Shriners operate 22 hospitals for children in North America, Canada and Mexico providing children with orthopedic care and with burns. The local Alhambra Shriners provide free transportation to children from this three state region as well as supporting the hospitals.
