Youth in the greater Chattanooga area and around the world are invited to join President and Sister Oaks of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for a Face-to-Face Event this Sunday at 6 p.m.  The event is a follow-up on the Children and Youth Program introduced this year.

According to officials, “President and Sister Oaks plan to share ideas about how to be successful in becoming more like Christ through this inspired effort.”

The event can be viewed on BYUtv, YouTube, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Facebook page or at churchofjesuschrist.org.

Youth and children are also invited to share what they are doing to come unto Christ on social media using the #strivetobe.

The new Children and Youth program of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints took effect in January.  The intent of the program is to “strengthen the rising generation’s faith in Jesus Christ, and help children, youth and their families progress along the covenant path as they meet life’s challenges.”

Hundreds of children and youth in the greater Chattanooga area are participating, officials said.
