Charlie Brewer
Charlie “Shotgun” Robert Brewer, 77, of Chattanooga, passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2020, at the residence of his sister and son.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Lula Brewer, Jr.; first wife, Clara Jackson; brothers, Charlie Clarence Brewer, Gregory Brewer, Freddy Brewer, and Eugene Brewer.
Survivors include his wife, Alice Brewer; son, Damascus Brewer; daughters, Dutchess Brewer, Monisha Brewer, and Aaliyah Brewer; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, all of Chattanooga; Marvin (Jewell) Brewer of Nashville; sister, Gwendolyn Brewer of Chattanooga; aunts, Georgia of Chattanooga, Christine, Ruby, and Dorothy, all of Georgia; family friend, Dr. Hayes; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Charlie will lie in state on Tuesday, May 26, from 12:30-5 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.
Family service will be on Wednesday, May 27, at 1 p.m. in the chapel with Brother Jimmie Ingram as the eulogist. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Gardens.
