The JFK club announces their list of candidates for JFK officers. Send your vote to jfkclub109@gmail.com by Sunday, May 31.

The candidates are:

President – Rachel Campbell

"Rachel is currently the TN Democratic Party Committee woman for State Senate District 11, which encompasses most of Hamilton County," officials said. "Recently she was the recording secretary for both the local and state chapters of the TN Federation of Democratic Women, and served as the vice chair of the Hamilton County Democratic Party. She has worked on several local campaigns and on a Senate campaign.  She has lived in Chattanooga all of her adult life, is married to a great guy, Billy, and has two delightful daughters.  She and her husband own a local subcontracting company."

Vice President – Jane Elmore.  Jane is the current president.

Secretary – Larry Miller

"Larry is our current secretary and, as we all know, has done a great job," officials said.

Treasurer – Sue Stetson

"Sue is overqualified for our treasurer position, but she was interested anyway," officials said. "She has a math undergraduate degree and an MBA.  She spent most of her career in higher education in senior level positions in accounting, budgeting and administration.  She married her high school sweetheart, Steve, who comes with her to JFK meetings.  They have three children and two adorable grandchildren."

The election will conducted using email.  Mr. Miller will send specific instructions on how to vote for new officers.

"Many thanks to Mark Ammerman for serving as VP, and to Barbara Wofford and Nancy Bibler for being co-treasurers," Ms. Elmore said. "Nancy has served as an officer with JFK for a number of years.  Many thanks Nancy."

The JFK group will not meet in May.  A decision will be made about meeting or Zooming in June in a few weeks, officials said.
