Dennis Arnold Locklear
Dennis Arnold Locklear, age 76, of Cohutta, passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at home surrounded by his loving family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Lura Locklear; and sister, Ann Maples.
Dennis was a veteran of the Vietnam war, serving in the United States Navy. He was also a member of Pleasant Grove Methodist Church.
He is survived by his loving wife, Pat Locklear; sons and daughter-in-law, Mike Locklear of Cohutta and Matt and Tamela Locklear of Dalton; brother-in-laws and theirs wives, Tom and Jane Sexton of Tennessee and Johnny and Terri Sexton of Gainesville, Ga.; sister-in-law, Linda Sexton of Gainesville; grandchildren, Ethan and Tyler Locklear; niece, Marla Maples; great niece, Tiffany Trump; and cousins and many friends.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 19, at 3:30 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Methodist Church in Dalton, with Rev. Calvin Haney and Rev. Chris Mullis officiating. Social distancing is recommended.
The family will receive friends at Julian Peeples Funeral Home on Sunday, July 19, from 12-3 p.m.
Burial will be in United Memorial Gardens.
