Brock, Barbara Benton (Cleveland)

Barbara Benton Brock, 85, of Cleveland, passed away on July 27, 2020. She was born on April 13, 1935 to the late Robert and Mamie Benton. Barbara was a lifelong resident of this area. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church. Barbara loved flowers, gardening, cooking and entertaining. She was a gifted musician who loved to sing and play piano. Above all things, she loved her family and spending time with them.

In addition to her mother and father, she is preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Calvin Brock and her sister, Elsie Kirksey.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her sister, Lorene Benton Brown; sister-in-law, Charlotte Brock Albritton (Don); nieces, Dranda Kirksey Whaley and Kim Brown Hawes; and nephew, Benny Kirksey (Donna). Barbara also is survived by many nieces and nephews, from her Brock family.

The family will hold a graveside service at 4 p.m. on Friday July 31 at Lee Cemetery.
