Ruby Lee Lowry, 92, of Signal Mountain died on January 11, 2021, at her home.

 

She was born March 30, 1928, in Hixson, to the late Hugh Myers and Thelma Sharp Myer. She was preceded in death by her husband, John “Bob” Lowry; half-sisters, Hughsane Pickett and Margaret Mason Pullin.

 

Mrs. Lowry was retired from Ling Fadley Printing Company. She enjoyed her flowers, quilting and crocheting. She was an avid reader; even after her sight failed, she used reading for the blind. 

 

Survivors include her daughter, Andrea (Jeff) Wright; grandsons, Steven and Kevin Wright; sister, Sylvia Warmouth; stepsister, Wanda Ferguson Neal; special niece, Portia Bennett and her special dog, Bella.

 

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 20, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Pastor Glenn Edmonds officiating. A private committal will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.

 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9-10 a.m. on Wednesday.
