East Hamilton High School announced the appointment of Jeremy Rogers as head volleyball coach. A veteran leader with 14 years of coaching experience across the high school, college, and club levels, Mr. Rogers joins the Hurricanes with a proven record of developing elite talent.

Mr. Rogers comes to East Hamilton with a deep connection to the local volleyball community. A former club volleyball player at UTC, he currently serves as the Director of Total Athlete Volleyball Club. His appointment is seen as a vital step in maintaining the school's "streak of excellence," following a 2024-2025 season where every single sport at East Hamilton reached post-season play.

"I am beyond grateful and excited for the opportunity to lead one of the most successful volleyball programs in the state of Tennessee," said Coach Rogers. "It is an honor that I do not take lightly. My goal from day one is to get back to the state tournament".

Under Mr. Rogers’ leadership, the Hurricanes will adopt a culture of relentless effort and preparation. His program is defined by a commitment to outworking the competition in every facet of the game.

"My philosophy is that no one will outwork me or my teams and that is how we will approach every workout session, practice, and match," he said. "There are a lot of key pieces returning from last season and I am excited about the possibilities for this year and beyond."

The hiring of Mr. Rogers aligns with East Hamilton’s mission to find "The coach, not just a coach" to elevate the school’s reputation and climate. He will be joining a department that prioritizes thorough leadership and student outcomes.

Coach Rogers is expected to begin his duties immediately. He will host a meet-and-greet for players and parents in the coming days to discuss the future of Hurricanes volleyball and his vision for the upcoming season.

School Principal Brent Eller commented that he is excited to see the impact of Coach Rogers’ skill set on the program. Throughout the process, Coach Rogers was able to clearly articulate a trajectory for player development and high expectations for the volleyball program.

Assistant Principal Keitha Booker noted that, in addition to Coach Rogers’ energy and vision, he brings a wealth of coaching experience and a proven track record of player development to the program.
