Walter "Chili" Williams was born on September 6, 1943 in Chattanooga, Tennessee, to the late Charlie and Roxie Williams. He transitioned to his heavenly home on December 29, 2020, at his home after an illness with cancer. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Valerie Williams; brother, Charles Williams; sister, Mary Favors; and nephew, Michael Favors.  

He was a member of Union Hill Baptist Church. Walter was educated in the Chattanooga Public Schools. He retired from Chattanooga State Community College.

He is survived by long time companion, Vivian Holland; daughters, Catrina Williams, Pamela Holland, Dena Ward, and Monica Williams; and son, Terrence Holland; brother, Napoleon “Donut” Williams; sister, Janie Gantt; two grandsons, Terrence Holland Jr. and Gregory Thomas;  one granddaughter, Cameron Williams; a host of nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held from 2-6 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 3, at the funeral home.
