Nancy Carol Jackson, 73, of Chattanooga, passed away on Tuesday, January 26, 2021, in a local hospital. 

She was a graduate of Howard High School.  She was a member of New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church.  Nancy retired from Orange Grove. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Waymon Jackson, Jr.; son, Telly Jackson; daughter, Felicia Petty; grandson, Jacquard Petty; parents, George and Virginia Woodruff, Sr.; grandmother, Nancy Fletcher; and sister, Janice Collins. 

Survivors include her sons, Antinio (Terri) Petty and Frankie Petty; daughter, Shawana Burney; brothers, George (Linda) Woodruff, Jr., Meredith (Valerie) Woodruff, and Maurice Woodruff; sisters, Fannie (Mike) Pardue and Evelyn Baine, all of Chattanooga; The Boulden Family of Decatur, AL; special friends, Frances Parks, Diane Hicks, Ruthie Flemister, Mary McClain, Joyce Washington, and Rachel Nelson; a host of grandchildren; great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. 

She will lie in state on Friday, Feb. 5, at 9 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. 

A family service will follow at noon in the chapel with Pastor Kelvert Scruggs as the eulogist. 

Burial will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.
