Beaver, Stan (Cleveland)

It is with a heavy heart that the Beaver family announces the passing of beloved father, husband and musician Stan Beaver. Stan passed away on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at the age of 71. 

He is survived by his wife, Flora Beaver; his son, Joel Beaver; and his daughter, Rachel Beaver.

Stan was inducted into the Rockabilly Hall of Fame in the year 2000 following the success of his hit song, “I Got a Rocket in My Pocket.” As a recording artist and sound engineer, he worked with many artists, including Emmylou Harris, Tom T. Hall, The Righteous Brothers, Carl Perkins, Ray Charles and more. Stan was also a member of the Nashville Musician’s Union for over 50 years. He’s been a member of the Cleveland community for over 20 years and used his talents in the community for events such as the Apple Festival.

Stan will be buried in Turtletown, Tn. There will be a memorial service held on Saturday, Jan. 9 at Bowman Hills Seventh-day Adventist Church at 3 p.m. Masks will be required to attend.
