Don Patton
Don W. Patton, 81, of Chattanooga, passed away on Friday, October 15, 2021.
Don was born in Palmer, Tn., and grew up in the Chattanooga area. He was a retired painter. Don was a longtime member of Silverdale Baptist Church. Don at one time served on the pit crew for Friday Hassler’s NASCAR team. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who loved Jesus and his family.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 32 years, Sarah H. Patton; parents, Carl and Novella Patton and brother, Larry Patton.
Don is survived by his children, Ricky Smith, Eric (Stacy) Patton, Chad (Michelle) Patton, Ray (Sue Ann) Daughtrey, and Vickie (Jimmy) Banks; 15 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 12-1 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 18, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
A Celebration of Don’s Life will follow at 1 p.m. on Monday, at the North Chapel with Dr. John Burkett officiating. Burial will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
The family respectfully requests that social distancing, wearing masks, and all CDC measures be followed at the funeral home and cemetery.
