Mrs. White was an ardent and fervent believer in honoring God and giving service to Him.  She attended Transfiguration Church under the leadership of  Rev. Alfred Hawkins where she was a church mother.  she had volunteered and worked diligently in her community. Her home was always open to celebrations and festivities. The hostess was always in charge.  Family and friends passed through the doors in a constant flow. Whether it was shelter, food, or conversation, everyone was welcomed.
