Georgia Has 50 More COVID Deaths And 1,216 More Cases

Georgia state health officials reported on Saturday there have been 50 additional deaths due to the coronavirus. The current total is 16,145.

There were 1,216 new cases, as that total reached 842,251 confirmed cases of coronavirus. 

Hospitalizations are at 57,911, which is 89 more than Friday.

Here are the numbers by county:

Catoosa County: 5,282 cases, up 9; 61 deaths; 238 hospitalizations, up 2

Chattooga County: 2,139 cases, up 3; 60 deaths; 163 hospitalizations, up 1

Dade County: 1,152 cases, up 1; 10 deaths; 56 hospitalizations

Walker County: 6,091 cases, up 6; 75 deaths; 264 hospitalizations, up 1

Whitfield County: 14,403 cases, up 14; 218 deaths; 709 hospitalizations
