Retired Chattanooga Police Officer Enjoyed Car Shows, Rebuilding Muscle Cars

Wayne Morris, 68, passed away on April 9, 2021.  Wayne was a lifetime resident of Chattanooga and of the Jewish faith.  He was a member of the Harrison Masonic Lodge #114 and was a retired Chattanooga police officer, where he was employed for 25 years.  Wayne enjoyed car shows, and rebuilding muscle cars in his spare time.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Anita Morris.

 

Wayne is survived by his wife, Valerie; sons, Sam Morris and Aaron Morris; daughters, Erica Morris (Kyle Hollowell), and Rhonda (Chip) Pendergrass; grandchildren, Ross Pendergrass, Rex Pendergrass, and Colton Hollowell, and sister, Phyllis (Stanley) Frank.

 

The family will receive friends on Monday, April 12, 2021 from 10-1 p.m. at Turner Funeral Home, Hwy. 58.  A graveside service will follow at Harrison Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. with Charles Griffin officiating.
