Edith "Elaine" Parker
Edith "Elaine" Parker, age 71, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, departed this life Thursday, April 15, 2021, at her home with her family at her side.
She was born Sept. 23, 1949 in Varnell, Ga., a daughter of the late Virgil and Alzada Warnack Pierce. She was also preceded in death by her father-in-law, JC Parker.
She is survived by her husband, Gary Parker Sr. of the residence; son and daughter-in-law, Gary Parker Jr. and Tristan Brock of Bay City, MI; daughters and son-in-law, Stephanie and Jerry Belcher Jr. of Dalton, GA, Ashley Hall of Chatsworth, GA; grandchildren, Tristan Walls, Jasmine Hall, Mackenzie Belcher, Jordan Hall; brother, Tony Pierce of Dalton, GA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Sherry and Jeff Brock of Cohutta, GA, Michelle and Stan Stoop of Dalton, GA; mother-in-law, Edna Parker; sister-in-law, Debbie Parker of Dalton, GA; and special friend, Martha Locke of Tunnel Hill, GA.
Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Edith “Elaine” Parker will be held Tuesday, April 20, at 1 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Denny Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Ponders Whitfield Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-9 p.m. on Monday, April 19.
Due to the national health crisis and the COVID-19 virus, masks must be worn properly at all times and social distancing must be observed when visiting the funeral home.
