Barbara Jean Wilson, 70, of Benton, passed away peacefully on June 14, 2021, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on July 9, 1950, to the late Hayden F. and Mary Lee Clark Withrow. Ms. Barbara was a member at Welcome Valley Baptist Church and loved spending time with her family and friends. She had a great love for sitting on her porch and watching the hummingbirds. During her early years of life, she enjoyed fishing and was employed with B & W Woodcrafters and Hardwick Clothes.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph Wilson; siblings, Linda G. Vaughn and Bobby L. Withrow; one grandbaby angel; and five great-grandbaby angels.
Survivors include her loving daughter, Brittany (Brandon) Stevens; sons, Scotty Wilson and Larry Kenzel Wilson; grandchildren, Jessica Wilson, Samantha (Ryan) Ellis, Angela (Brent) Armstrong, Zeke Casson and Zalacye Wilson; great-grandchildren, Baylor and Marlee Gregg and Lilly Armstrong; sisters-in-law, Martha Brown, Naomi Mantooth, Mildred Wilson and Jean Wilson; one niece and one nephew.
A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at noon on Friday, June 18 in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home, with Pastor Anthony Howard officiating. Interment will follow at Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, with her family serving as pallbearers.
Her family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, June 17 and on Friday, one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
