Did You Know - Honeymoon

Sorry folks we are not talking about the first 30 days of the President Joe Biden administration or any prior occupant of the White House/Oval Office.

The original custom of a “honeymoon” allegedly began over 4,000 years ago in ancient Babylon, when for a full lunar (moon) month after the wedding, the bride’s father would supply his son-in-law with all the honey-beer he could drink, and it was called the “honey month.”

The term “honeymoon” did not enter the English language until around 1546, and because few people could afford a vacation, a “honeymoon” didn’t mean a trip away from home until the middle of the nineteenth century.

If we update the term to 2020-2021 it appears that the “honeymoon” between Democrats and Republicans is already over!
