Faye Cook, 88, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away on July 28, 2021, at Martin Boyd Christian Home in Chattanooga.
She was born on Jan. 23, 1933, in Fort Payne, Al. to the late John H. and Mamie (Griffin) Barron. Faye was also preceded in death by her sisters, Anne Meadows and Wilma Durham.
Faye graduated from Dade County High School and grew up in Lookout Mountain, Ga., on Scenic Highway. She worked and retired from Bell South/AT&T after 37 years of service. Faye lived in East Brainerd for over 50 years.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Charles Cook; two sons, Christopher C. Cook and Todd (Charlene) Cook; one granddaughter, Sarah Cook; and three nieces, Phyllis (Terry) Campbell, Stephanie Durham, and Melissa (Mark) Hyde.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 3, at Chattanooga National Cemetery in Chattanooga.
A visitation will be held from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 3, at Heritage Funeral Home, 7454 E. Brainerd Rd. Chattanooga, TN 37421.
