Charles Smiley
Charles Edward Smiley, 72, passed away on August 18, 2021. He was born in Chattanooga to the late June Jennings and Elizabeth Smiley Fuller. He retired after many years of employment at Borog Textiles.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Frankie Mae Greer, Barbara Gardner; grandmother, Sara English.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria Ferrell Smiley; children, LaWanda Smiley Spears (AT), Jackie Smiley Hardy (Lenell), Karen Smiley Griffin (Jimmie), Charles Smiley, Jr., Byron Smiley, Nikko Smiley; siblings, Jessie L. Smiley, Bayless Smiley, Richard S. Smiley; a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Public viewing will begin at 9 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 30, followed by a 1 p.m. funeral service in the chapel. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Gardens.
