WTCI PBS Receives 2 Public Media Awards

  • Wednesday, January 26, 2022

WTCI PBS was recognized on Tuesday at the 53rd Public Media Awards with nominations in four categories: Excellence in Education, Innovation in Education, Cultural Documentary (Legacy of Love), and Military Chronicle (Touched by War).

When the winners were announced, WTCI took home two awards: the Division 2 Public Media Award for Military Chronicles for Greater Chattanooga: Touched by War and the Division 2 Public Media Award for Innovation in Education for its new channel, WTCI EDUCATE.

Proud of the work accomplished by his team, WTCI CEO Bob Culkeen said, “The awards recognize the best in public media. Our station is rich in quality content. We all should be proud of what we do, why we do it, and how we do it. We showed the system what a little station in Chattanooga does on a daily basis."
