Carolyn Jones Tallant
Carolyn Jones Tallant, 91, of Ooltewah, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, December 2, 2022.
She was born in Morristown, Tn., to the late Ralph and Georgia Jones. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.R. Tallant and daughter, Donna McCallie.
Carolyn was a secretary for Hamilton County Schools for over 38 years.
She was a longtime member of Ooltewah Baptist Church. Carolyn was a strong, dedicated, loving woman and mother with deep Christian values. She will be greatly missed.
Survivors include her sons, Sutton (Lynn) McCallie, Steve (Sheila) McCallie, David (Teresa) McCallie; daughter, Marie (Darren) Mitchell; grandchildren, Christie (Houston) Foppiano, Jennifer (Mark) Haynes, Amy Lee McCallie; great-grandchildren, Sofia and Alexandra Foppiano and Garrett and Alexander Haynes; sister, Anne (G.T.) Ballenger and three nephews.
The family would like to thank Morning Pointe of East Hamilton for all the love and care they have shown.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 4, in the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 4, in the funeral home with Rev. Steve Moore officiating.
A private interment will be held at a later date at Ooltewah Cemetery.
