Tommy Rector age 73 of Spring City, Tennessee died on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at his residence.

He was born on September 30, 1950 to the late Guy and Myrtle Cox Rector Sr.

Tommy attended school in Rhea County. He then volunteered to join the U.S. Army, serving his country in Vietnam as a paratrooper. After his service, Tommy became an ironworker with the Local #701. He loved people and was a father figure to many. Tommy loved to watch Westerns, and enjoyed buying, restoring, and collecting antique cars.

Tommy is also preceded in death by his wife Sharon Rector, and his brother Guy Rector Jr.

Survivors include his sons James Rector and Dustin Rector both of Spring City, Tn., and Patrick Chee of Albuquerque, Nm.; his sister Ann Strongberg of Fl.; and his brother Roy Rector of Spring City, Tn..

A graveside service with military honors will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 24, at 2 p.m. in the Spring City Cemetery. There will be no visitation.
