Mitchell “Mick” Atchley, 63, of Rossville, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2024.

He was born in Chattanooga, on Nov. 21, 1960, and was raised in Rossville, and Flagler Beach, Fl.

Mick graduated from Rossville High School and retired from Shaw Industries after 35 years of service. He loved jeeps, music from the 60s, 70s and the 80s, and taking long drives. Mick enjoyed shopping for records, bird watching and looking after his fish aquarium. He was of the Christian faith.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bob Atchley; mother, Betty Atchley; and brother, Steve Atchley.

Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Perry (Elizabeth) Atchley; three granddaughters “Papaw Mick’s Angels”, Charlotte, Ellie and Sophie Atchley; and several extended family members and friends.

A chapel service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 7. Interment will follow at Chickamauga City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, Oct. 6, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.

All arrangements have been made by Lane Funeral Home and Crematory South Crest Chapel in Rossville.
