Charleston Sizzling Summers Independence Day Event Is July 4

The city of Charleston will be hosting Charleston Sizzling Summers Independence Day Celebration event at Hoyt Berry Park, on Worth Street Northeast in Charleston, on July 4 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. The purpose of the event is to celebrate Independence Day.

The event features the following:

Local craft and goods vendors
Local food, snack, candy and refreshment vendors
Local non-profit agencies
Inflatable water slide and slip and slide
Kids games and activities

All event proceeds will be used to fund future events. Visitors of all ages are encouraged to attend, and the event venue is fully handicap accessible.

The city is seeking both volunteers and additional vendors for this event. Volunteers should reach out to City Manager Brandy Bishop at citymanager@cityofcharlestontn.com or call 336-1483. Vendors wishing to apply to the event should visit charlestoncitytn.com/parks-andrecreation.html, click on the Event Vendor Application link, and follow the on-screen instructions. The vendor application window will close on July 2. Fees for vendors are $50 for food vendors and $30 for craft/good vendors.
